H|H united we fight, united we fall.
Left4Dead - Humanity's Last Hope [H|H] Steam group URL: Steam Community :: Group :: L4D Humanity's Last Hope "united we fight, united we fall." We are a clan that loves to communicate, achieve everything as a team, and basically enjoying ourselves while doing so cause thats what the game is all about, having fun. When the game is released we plan on working on different tactics and strategies for different situations. We believe practice makes perfect, but in a game this unpredictable we can never be too careful so we definitely take that info consideration. So basically, don't be afraid to speak up, we all will listen. And if you need help, we'll be there. We currently require a steam rating of at least 7.5 to join and stay in. We are currently planning to cap the clan at 16 members. In other words, 3 teams that will train with each other. We are super active so you'll never find yourself online alone, H|H is always there when needed. As our tagline suggests we fight and fall as one, we will NEVER EVER leave you bleeding out. We are going to have 2 servers one 8 and the other 12 slot. Left 4 Dead will be released on STEAM the 18th of November, 2008 and the domain will be worked on 2 weeks prior. Our ultimate goal is to finish a map with the same people we started with, we wouldn't call finishing the map with any less a failure, but we wouldn't call it a complete success. What we look for in new recruits is:
We currently have:
If you would like to help the clan we need:

1. Steam ID: TheAnubite
2. Player name: GuardianAnubite 3. Tell us about yourself (other FPS you've played, where you're from, age,) I've played many recent FPS games, such as Call of Duty 4, Timesplitters 2/3, Stalker, Crysis, BioShock, Halo, and more. I'm from Canada, British Columbia specifically, and I'm 16 years old. I'm more mature that most people my age, and I spend a lot of time playing games. 4. What do you look for in a clan in L4D? In a clan, I'd like to see a group of people I can hang out and be comfortable with. L4D is made to be a cooperative game, and I'd like to constantly play with the same group of people, which would allow me to discover new tactics, find new things, and have tons of fun. 5. Why you're interested. Left4Dead is primarily a cooperative online game, and clans are a natural extension of that, creating a better community and environment. I'd like to get to know people, and have even more fun playing what will surely be a great game. 6. What do you love/hate about most clans? One thing I don't like about clans is how most require a headset and age. Age isn't always a indication of maturity, and in every case, the best way to judge maturity is to hang out with the person for a while and get to know them. I don't actually have a headset, but I hope that won't torpedo my application. I can react to what people say without a headset, and that just means I shouldn't take point. If need be, I can type quickly, though that's still probably not efficient in this game. In any case, I can work well in a team without a headset. What I love about clans is of course the environment that they breed. With a game like Left4Dead, they can make a good game fantastic, and deepen the experience. Getting to know people, having great game moments, and having a blast with people you like is what clans are about. 7. What would you do in this situation: Your team is relatively separated, 2 teammates are not too far ahead and you are along side another teammate. Your fellow mate besides you becomes pulled back by the smokers 50ft tongue, and at the same time a hunter jumps one of the teammates ahead of you. What do you do? If my aim was near the hunter, I would fire a quick burst from my sub-machine gun (favorite gun so far) while turning to aid my comrade to my side. Of course, I would help him as quick as possible. If I knew the unhindered teammate ahead of me was reliable and quick, I would probably leave him the task of dealing with the hunter and saving the fourth teammate. I would hope to find myself in such a situation if I join the clan, so I can see what my reflex would be if I knew all of the people in the game. |

Application
1. Steam ID: ali2169
2. Player name: P4yn3 or ali.gta 3. Tell us about yourself (other FPS youve played, where your from, age,) I currently live in Calgary, Alberta (Canada) and I'm 18 years old. I've been playing Counter-Strike for years now and I'm getting into L4D. I'm a huge fan of all types of gaming and I also play RPGs, fighting games, and MMORPGs. I'm currently studying to become a film maker and specialize in video editing and video graphy. (I hope to become a camera man in television, movies, or documentaries. 4. What do you look for in a clan in L4D? What I look for in a clan in L4D would be a clan which knows how to communicate and the importance of communication. When I play Left 4 Dead I find that team work is key, and it's important to know what each person is going to be responsible for. I find being in a clan breaks the ice and makes people more sociable and will make it easier for people to interact with each other. That, and it's good to play with people in a clan as you'll know what type of player they are and what role they are best suited for. 5. Why your interested. To add on to what I said earlier, I'd just like knowing some fellow L4D enthusiasts who find the game as fun and interesting as I do. 6. What do you love/hate about most clans? I love the fact that being in a clan allows you to play the game more efficiently as you can practice and use strategies within your unit. Being in a clan gives you access to members who you can rely on and trust. What I hate most about clans is the fact that sometimes members are located around the world, and the problem with this is that different time zones between all the players may make it difficult to play with your fellow clan member. A solution to this is to play on a Friday or Saturday since more likely than not, it will be accommodating to everyone (even though one person may have to play at an awkward time, he or she will not be impeded by work or school.) 7. Note: there is no right or wrong answer, we'd just like to see how you would handle it. In this situation, I would help the teammate closest to me and kill the pesty smoker. I then run for my other teammate and help him out. However, it really just depends on how much health each person has and if the other player in front is occupied. If he or she is occupied and the person who is grabbed the smoker is in dangerously low health, I may go after he or she. Thanks for reading Last edited by P4yn3; November 13th, 2008 at 10:43 PM.. |

1. Steam iD:
Zeedez 2. Player name: (Oxxyde) 3. Tell us about yourself (other FPS youve played, where your from, age,) Well i have played alot of FPS games, all the valve FPS games and also some others. I am from The United Kingdom and i am 17, I play FPS' as a hobby and not as an obsession so my limit is around 2 hours/day. 4. What do you look for in a clan in L4D? Well i would like a good and comfortable community, good chats and most of all, fun games. 5. Why your interested. Well, i love L4D i think that it is an amazing game, and i would like to play with people that agree with me :P 6. What do you love/hate about most clans? I hate clans that solely concentrate on winning and getting to the top, i would prefer if it was concentrated on having fun. I would kill the smoker, assuming that the other person's teammate would help him out. However i would still check after killing the smoker, if the other person is still alive. |

1. Steam iD: apbevan
2. Player name: Fenris 3. Played alot of R6 and RvS, These were the only 2 games that I was part of a Clan. Other FPS have been Unreal series, CS:S, Marathon series and various other games through the years. Age 27 4. I look for Teamwork casual fun. In an objective based game Like L4D its important to work together towards the objective and not just revert to a deathmatch type game. 5. See question 4 6. I enjoy getting to know the other players and having regular people to play with that share the same goals. The only thing I hate is if I really enjoy the game and people it will eat up all my time ![]() 7. Kill the Smoker first as the other teamate is being covered already. |

Hey there, a real life friend and I are interested in joining if you have two empty spots. I'll have him post an application as soon as possible.
Thanks 1. Steam iD: Despoil 2. Player name: Dread or Despoil 3. Tell us about yourself (other FPS youve played, where your from, age,) I'm currently 18 and reside on the east coast, Virginia to be exact. I'm currently a Computer Science Major and have played nearly every FPS that has been released in the past six years. Highlights with TONS of hours played would have to be CS:S, Q4 and COD4. 4. What do you look for in a clan in L4D? I normally look for an active, mature and "skilled" clan to play with. Skilled doesn't necessarily mean "l33t" but more willing to learn and continually making improvements on your FPS game. Ventrilo is a must and a nice website is a bonus but not a necessity. I also enjoy structured clans where the Rules & Regulations are stated in advance as well as expectations. (In addition to tactics commonly used and expected during gameplay) 5. Why your interested. I'm interested because I believe to have fun in an FPS a clan is a necessity. Working together as a team to overcome seemingly impossible obstacles and crushing the opposition is just too much fun to miss out on. Having reliable people whom you can play with regularly and trust is another reason I'm interested. 6. What do you love/hate about most clans? I love the team aspect and ability to steadily improve as a unit. Advancing through ladders, tournaments and just general challenges is always exciting. My biggest annoyance in any clan would have to be drama. I'm an extremely laid back person and feel that gaming should be a time to relax, not deal with unnecessary drama/problems. My only other annoyance would have to be the abuse of power. I believe that being given power is a privilege and shouldn't be misused for personal gain. If I had a clear shot I would shoot the hunter immediately and then take care of the smoker. If a clear shot isn't available I would focus on the teammate I am with and kill the smoker. (Thus trusting my other teammate ahead of me to take care of the problem) |

k here goes
1. steamid : n0cturnus 2. player name : n0cturnus 3. other fps ... TF2, CS, max payne (thats fps right or was that 3rd person ? :-)) some of the UT games, quake and some others I'm from Belgium (flanders) I'm 29 omg I'm that old allready ? I also like RTS and MMORPG and some RPG (medieval/fantasy theme only) 4. what I'm looking for in a clan ? thats easy a bunch of ppl who realy like to play together and who you can call friends, ppl who share your intrest in a certain game. Players who you practice with to become a well oiled machine and wich makes killing those zombies easy and fun even on the harder settings. the thing that is also very important is that I'm a casual player, I play PC games for fun but can't arrange my life to it (so no clanwars for me, if that is even an option in L4D) 5. we'll its been a while since I found a game I realy liked playing on the PC but after playing the demo once I was sold to this game. And after playing a bunch of random games online it became clear that random groups aren't going to give you a lot of fun with this game (coz of ppl rushing off etc.) and most of my TF2 friend don't seem to be playing this game so the best way to realy enjoy this game. To make the most out of it you will have to join a clan of play regular with IRL friends but mine don't play this game. So why am I interested in this clan specifically ? well I like the description in the first post and realy think you will be a nice bunch to play with. 6. what do you hate about most clans, well I got kids and a wife they need some quality time too ... so the thing I hate most about clans is having to be there for clanwars ... no I realy can't make time to play games on a certain moment (those days are over for me). There are more important things in life then arranging your life to a game. ( if this gets me rejected from the clan so be it ;-) ) 7. well the guy that got behind next to you is most likely your paired buddy. It's your job first to cover his back, so kill the smoker. The other guy will get freed by his pairing buddy. If not you and ur pairing buddy will save the other 2 guys later on the respawn point if it comes to that.
