I think that'll be one of the first things we see after L4D comes out: Ports of maps from other Source games over the L4D.
The linearity of some areas of HL2 and the Episodes would make for nice L4D levels.

Or maybe you were on the ship before the outbreak... Good idea. I've seen some good ship levels done in games (Splinter Cell [Chaos Theory I think] and CoD4 to name two).
