Assuming you have this on PC when it is released, the chances are that there will be mods made available for it.

As vanilla L4D is going to feature a limited selection of weapons (great idea, IMO), I ask what additional weaponry you'd like to see included.

From what I've seen so far there is:

Pump action Shotgun
Uzi

M16
Ruger Mini-14
M4 Super 90 shotgun


Pistol (can be dual wield)

Molotov
Pipebomb

What else would you like to see added, because someone will.

A chain gun would be sweet. Also, that cannon they used on Robocop. That was awesome!

A chainsaw would be even better.

They need to have some kind of sledgehammer or other point blank weapon.

And and aerosol can and lighter... AKA flamethrower.

Only if the blood drips off the crowbar after you hit an enemy.

Maybe the gun from Portal. Just to confuse the fuck out of the infected by vanishing.

Possibly a Bazooka? Or maybe a Lawnmower or a Katana.

I like automatic pistols Although its probably just easier to have a Mac-10... But then that doesn't look as cool as a handgun with the big extended magazine.

The glock 18 is an automatic pistol, so that could be it there.

Glock 18 is semi-automatic. If you press the trigger and hold it down it fires one bullet. Automatic would mean you hold it down and it will keep firing until the magazine runs dry.

Or is there a fully automatic variation? I know there are many variations on it...

The M249 would be a nice weapon in the game.

I think that would just destroy the gameplay. The M249 (or any other SAW) is far too powerful with a far too great RoF and magazine capacity to allow the game to be challenging.

Sure maybe in a mod where they've like quadrupled the number of infected but... Even still it wouldn't make for good gameplay.
