Look at the way the author generalises the population. He seems to think everyone has maids. That everyone gets to eat proper meals every day. That everyone has a warm place to sleep. That everyone is so vain as to take a sick day for a headache. Seriously before you go swallowing stuff like this take a look at the world around you.
I mean, hell, for a lot of the population of America being in the military would be a better situation than to where they already live.
There's a line between the anti and pro war propaganda that is the truth and its a line that is barely ever walked. You get this stuff that praises the troops like Gods and degrades to public as though they are the lowest form of life, and then you get the ones that are just completely 100% against the war.
