Epic (And The Cliffster) Focusing On Consoles Because PC Gaming Is "In Disarray"
Personal opinion: The "Cliffster" is an idiot. I guess he expected GoW PC to do just as good as the 360 version, even though it was a shitty, buggy port (so I've been told -- multiple times), and when it failed to do as good as expected, he decided to stick to consoles and blame 'PC gaming' instead... Good luck with that Epic, no one gives a shit. The UT franchise is old and there was next to nothing new about UT3. Gears of War was a fun game but it isn't the epitome of video gaming.

That guy brings shame to Clifford the Big Red Dog.
Console gaming and PC gaming are as good as one another in my eyes.

Console gaming will never compare to PC gaming, imo. PC's are always upgrading (and upgradeable) and PC games can continue to push the limits of new hardware (Crysis being one example). You can't push a console until the 'next' one is created, which is roughly every 5 years or so (console life span). It has the same hardware and the software has to follow the same guidelines and cannot exceed those guidelines. PC games can, and even after one year or less!
I had an Xbox 360 but I sold it and decided to beef up my PC and build a second 'gaming PC' instead. The games were disappointing to me, quick and cheap. There are just a lot more options for PC games, including (but not limited to) modding. The real problem with gaming today is companies wanting to make money as fast and as easy as possible. While this is life (and business), it's starting to hurt the gaming industry. Advertisement starts as early as 3-4 years before a game is completed, creating massive amounts of hype just to generate sales. A good example of this is Assassin's Creed. The game was one of the most hyped up games for the longest time and when it was released it completely sucked ass! Now lets look at a game like The Witcher. I didn't hear anything about this game until it was released. There was media around the net but it wasn't as popular as some of the major branded games and thus it never made its way to me. It also released around the same time as some of those over hyped games (Christmas 2007). Turns out this is a kick ass game! I started playing it and I couldn't stop. If the game is good, it will sell no matter what, and now that The Witcher has been out for awhile and people are seeing just how good it is, it's selling good. |

So you guys are constantly buying graphics cards and proccessors, often summing up to over a thousand pounds for what the xbox hasnt got "modding and hotkeys". Ok first of all the console modding era has just began with the release of Forge in Halo 3 which allows USER created maps to be downloaded off the official site, and the soon to be released spore will also have seamless content sharing. You may like Pc gaming, but If you really gave a console the same time and money you spent on your gaming pcs, you would have a vast gaming library, a large television all for the same price as a pc which will need to be updated in the coming months. At the same time you have to worry about Viruses and lots of technical issues.
The console gaming way of life is much more softcore to that of pc gaming, but if you have the time and the money to do it, go for it.

Or go with both.
As for "updating your PC"... I'm not even sure I know what that is. My PC is still stock from when I got it several years ago And it wasn't even good back then.
