Left 4 Dead most wanted game of 2008

Left 4 Dead is Voodoo Extreme's #1 most anticipated game of 2008.

In a recent feature, Voodoo Extreme have listed their top ten most wanted games of 2008 and our chosen Zombie blaster has hit the top spot. Beating off competition from big names such as StarCraft2, Fallout3 and Warhammer Online, Left 4 Dead stands out as the 'sleeper hit of the year'.

ETA: Summer (75%)

The Company Line: Valve presents Left 4 Dead – an online cooperative survival horror experience explicitly designed to emphasize extreme teamwork and intense action. A small group of four “Survivors” must fight their way through apocalyptic environments in an attempt to escape the overwhelming hordes of dangerous “Infected” – violently psychopathic victims of a horrible viral pandemic.

The Bottom Line: Why so high? I was hooked on the game the first time I saw people playing it. What's not to love? The sleeper hit of the year will be Left 4 Dead. Short of Valve bundling the game with Episode 3 as whatever color box deal they want to call it, we should see L4D on Steam early this Summer.

Gotta love #9. Has that been on most wanted for 10 years now? Ahaha.

But I imagine L4D will be a sleeper hit. To be honest, I didn't know much of anything about it until I joined in here. So when it comes out people will be surprised by it.

I found out early last year when a mate was telling me about it in English, but back then the details were sketchy... It still sounded brilliant.

On the side, I'm surprised that GTA IV isn't on there.

January is starting to wind down so I figured now would be a good time to put our top-10 most wanted PC games list on record.

Yep. Only PC games.

Oh crap my brain just connected Fallout 3 with the old Fallout games! Shit! I can't wait for that!

Out of that list I'm looking forward to L4D (duh!), FO3, Alan Wake and Spore. Of course I'm interested in most of them but those are my top 4.

They are also releasing it no xbox 360 in case you don't lnow. I remember when i first saw some pictures and read about it I wasn't interested in all after, But when I finally saw the gameplay it then I got interested in it.

But then almost anything with zombies is of interest to me...

I will be getting it for pc, 1st person shooters are best on pcs, there are also good ones on consoles, but if I ever discontinued my payment, I would have to start again just to be able to play online. WHich makes it better for pc.

Ah the never-ending Console Vs PC war. Its entirely opinion. I enjoy FPS on my PS2/3 as much as I enjoy them on my PC if not more

Well To be Honest I found about about this game today and I just can get enough of the gameplay videos, spent about a month on forums for Resident Evil 5 Asking if it had co-op, then this morning got a message saying "Dude you want co-op zombie killing get left 4 dead. Now I hadnt heard of this game before and the name Left 4 dead at first made me sceptical thought it was some dodgy chinese game(Nothing against chinese games just not my thing).Then i saw it in action and I really cant wait!
