How do you access L4d files?

its not in my steamapps folder! how would i install mods and such?

bro i have the same problem, the folder is in "common" folder. but my problem is that i try to customize my sounds but they don't work...can someone tell me why they don't work?

steamapps/accountname/left 4 dead/left4dead

Like TF2 or Such, you have to add a sound folder in the proper place for it to draw from.

Sadly GFCscape and the VPK extractors aren't working atm.

thats the thing though, its not there. all my other steam games are there, but not L4D. But i've found it now, thanks metallopez.

FPSBANANA > Tools > L4D > Other/Misc > Gibbed's VPK Extractor

VPK extractor, should work afaik.
