I believe ripping the games to the hard drive only improves load times, you still need the disk, as was mentioned earlier.

Here's a comparison of the load times from various games (via Inside the Digital Foundry: New Xbox Experience: The Last Word)

the new in-game menu (when you press centre button) is annoyingly confusing
used to be in nice tabs... ruined! :'(
and cant leave MP games unpaused and keep an eye on what you're doing (e.g. gtaiv)

I actually Like it alot I also got it a week early because I won a contest. A lot of people are talking bad about it but I love it

Miis are gay.
And the fact I cannot rip off xbox and install other games on there is gay.
But I like the new look, thats pretty much the only good thing.

I havnt really played with it much, since I just got it this morning and played with it before school.

EDIT: Mii's arent that bad, kinda cool.
Needs more downloadable parts from the marketplace though.
Also, the marketplace is WAY too confusing.
