Very latest demo patch!

Here's the latest Demo patch, a mere 6'ish hours until release of the game:

Fixed problem where the group browser was showing servers for groups you were not a member of

Fixed problem with split packet/reassembly on level transition. This would cause the game to feel laggy for some period after a level transition

Fixed a crash when connecting to a dedicated server

I'm fairly certain I've said somewhere before to someone that they'd fix the bolded parts before release of the full game.

In case I did say that to someone here, I told you so! , and in case I didn't...Yeah, well.

You know.

Very odd when the demo is rendered useless at launch. I mean, why bother??

Probably to see if it works.

Personally, I only see Steam Group servers for something called redLine now, and I'm unable to join them.

Haha.

Let's hope the less lag after a safe point thing is good though :P

I think this is wonderful. I'm sure that all the Demo patches transfer over to the full game, as the only difference between the two should be some missing content. I'm just glad to see the intense support for this game that they're providing even when it's just a demo; it's looking good, really good.

Well, like any group of developers, Valve is adding the final touches to their work right in the last few hours before release. You know, just to make it look nice and pretty.

They don't want people who have errors with the demo to not buy the game because of that. Like you know, the hundreds of crashing threads..
I got an email today saying that my valve support ticket I sent for my error was deleted because they only want people with the full game to send them now, and most of the problems with the demo are fixed. Only time will tell

Will the demo servers shut down on 360 on launch?
I don't think they will since most demo's on 360 dont end up shutting down demo servers.

I seem to recall VALVe stating that the demo would stop working when the full game is released, however, I'm not sure about the 360.

It's odd that the newest forum announcement is in regard to the demo patch, someone should update it to at least mention that the full game was released.

And TenJo, you won't be able to play the demo at all now that the full release is out, it's disabled
