I fully agree with the not trusting of any government agency part, as I can agree with the possibility of it.
As far as psychological trauma goes, that's on a personal basis, everyone has their own individual limits. Personally, I think I could survive rather well by myself for quite a while with out going insane, but I'll never know until it actually happens. Mostly because I'm good at keeping myself occupied, and don't mind being alone for extended periods. Also, I believe that looting a pharmacy should ALWAYS be a high priority. Right after arming yourself, and about on par with obtaining food. |

I am actually a Zday theorist. Sure, I am not ready for it as of yet, but it will happen. Look at how much technology has advanced in the past 20 years. At the rate it is going, somebody is bound to experiment with the dead. |

Well, the term used for it is clinical death, and it's only "technical" death. When the heart stops for a very short while before starting up again. Only the heart stops, but not long enough for any (or most) vital organs to fail. Nobody has ever been brought back from more than even 10 minutes of death.

The not trusting goverment thing only works if its small scale zombie attack. If its small the goverment will do anything to not have any evidence of there envolvment be released to the public. They will make something up like a nuclear plant explosion (if the said place was nuked ala resident evil) or some radation leak or something beleivable.
Think Dead Rising with Senta Cabeza and the mall. |

I would first find a group of survirors. I would then find the nearest Wal-Mart (im not joking). They have everything at walmart. I would board the inside up at my groups best ability. We would have enough food for months, and weapons to fend off the horde. I would preferably use a Hunting Rifle and Dual Pistols.

Me, since I keep some weapons in the house would first get them, then i would head to a police station and get some better or more weapons in ammo. After that I would head out and either lead or participate in search and rescues around cities and small towns. If i got myself infected, well too bad we all die sometimes.

I'll find a real high roof, camp there till zombies come and get me...or those "phyco" people come and kill me
Or plan two....search for the living...look for weapons mainly melee...and go around killing zombies until we die or find some what of safty. |

Think about it if someone has aids won't they get infected easier?
I would go to Cabellas(?) and get some guns, get food, come home and board up my house. I would then get a bed, computer(wireless), guns, food, hot plate, candles, gas, towels, my knife, gear(clothes, paintball helmet, and arm pads, club), and go up into my attic. I have a couple guns and everything else on the list. Are zombies still human? Is it just an infection like a fungus. |

i would like to see ANYONE of you guys actually do what your going to do. I personally think you would all hide in a closet. I would just stay at home and barricade the doors and windows and hide in the attic....problem solved just wait it out. and if i get hungry enough i would just walk out and get infected i wouldnt care wow im dead oh shit i hunger for human flesh oh well. (i heard its good)

I mean, this scenario is obviously based on fantasy, and I think it's fair to say that none of us have been or ever will be in this situation. To say that our plans are unrealistic is a bit like telling cookie monster he's going to get diabetes.I would just try and get as far away as possible from people. Areas that had the most living are likely to have the most infected, so it would make sense to stay out of urban or heavily populated areas. Deserts or even the frozen north would be safe bets, although there are obvious climatic concerns involved there. In terms of supplies, guns are actually pretty low priorities compared to most of the other stuff I would bring. I’ve never had very good aim, so I think if I were realistically close enough to shoot an infected – fast or slow – I’d be pretty much screwed either way. The goal is to get away from them, not to fight them off. Plus, guns bring obvious concerns over constantly having to watch and restock ammo reserves. Plus, by bringing stuff such as food, gasoline, and water, I’m bringing items that not only secure my own survival, but are also valuable and tradable commodities. If I could, I would bring a steel baseball mat or machete, but I would stay the hell away from malls, as they’d probably be the most heavily overrun places. Same with hospitals and police stations. In terms of vehicles, I’d want something with the best possible fuel economy. The prius has that advantage, plus the fact that it’s quiet and reasonably fast. Unfortunately, it’s small and has very little carrying capacity, leaving little room for passengers or precious supplies. If I had to take a larger vehicle, I’d take an ambulance, and attempt to load up the back almost entirely with spare gasoline. This would solve the fuel economy issue, and the vehicle is designed to be able to sustain reasonable damages. Something like, say, an armored car would be preferable, but I’m sure one would be much more difficult to come by. The ambulance is also pretty loud, though, and would probably alert nearby infected with its presence. This plan’s usefulness somewhat depends on whether we’re dealing with slow zombies or fast zombies. |
